    As a carpenter/builder, land developer and general contractor with twenty-five years of experience planning, designing, building and renovating custom homes, I can assure you there are ways to approach, consider, plan, begin and carry out the construction process which will significantly reduce your risk of surprises, cost overruns, misunderstandings, disappointments, disagreements and legal difficulties. 

   Regardless of size, all projects are of equal importance to owners who deserve fair value for their money and effort. 

   It's been a pleasure spending so many years in a business which allowed me to either change and improve an existing home to better suit the family or to work with owners and architects to transform a piece of land from the natural tree state to a custom home providing shelter and happiness to many generations of children and grandchildren. It is hard and complex but well worth the effort; especially if the experience is a good one.
